“Krasny Kotelshchik” equipment has been put into operation

High-pressure heaters made by the Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) were put into operation on the Thermal Power Plant of a major wood chemistry enterprise in Russia and Eastern Europe – JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill.

Successful implementation of this project confirmed a status of TKZ as a reliable supplier of modern equipment, which is able to ensure the products high quality within short contract timeframes. At the customer’s request, “Krasny Kotelshchik” supplied two ПВД-375 high-pressure heaters completed with a quick-operation protection device for the Thermal Power Plant of Arkhangelsk Central Design Bureau. 

The ПВД-375 heaters, which are manufactured by TKZ, are actively used by Russian and foreign customers. This equipment performs its functions successfully – it heats the feed water and is able to increase the turbine plant efficiency. Additional equipping the heaters with the quick-operation protection devices protects them against being overfilled if the condensate level in this equipment body is exceeded. As a consequence, a possibility of the feed water flooding into the turbine is ruled out. 

Equipping the control valves, which are supplied as part of the high-pressure heaters package, with electric intelligent drives is a peculiarity of this specific project. This design solution makes it possible to build the new equipment into the Automated Process Control Systems of the plant. Apart from that, the TKZ heaters are equipped with additional magnetic level indicators. They, in their turn, determine a condensate level in the high-pressure indicators bodies on a continuous basis.
