“Krasny Kotelshchik” has opened a modern welding lab at the Taganrog Mechanical College

The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works “Krasny Kotelshchik” (TKZ) continues its strategical investments in the training of qualified talents. A solemn opening ceremony of a new, fully equipped, enterprise-funded welding lab took place at the Taganrog Mechanical College.

Deputy Minister of Education of Rostov Region Sergey Fedorov, City Mayor Svetlana Kambulova, Chief Executive Officer of “Krasny Kotelshchik” Mikhail Klugman, College Principal Rafail Magerramov participated in the opening ceremony.

The created lab is a modernized study space that meets the modern manufacturing standards. The facility features fully equipped welding stations designed to comply with modern safety and ergonomic requirements. The interior and equipment are designed in corporate colors of the company. The new lab is set to become an advanced venue for the training of young specialists – welders in demand at “Krasny Kotelshchik”. 

The project is executed within the framework of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between TKZ and the Taganrog Mechanical College signed in 2025. Thanks to the collaboration with the enterprise, the college also has launched a new training program – “Metalwork Technician”.

I am sure that the new study space will become not only a talent-factory but also a venue for the professional championships and competitions, - says Mikhail Klugman, Chief Executive Officer of “Krasny Kotelshchik”.

Within the frameworks of the collaboration with TKZ college accepts applications for the employer-sponsored programs. Every student joins the program with a trilateral contract (enterprise – college - student) that ensures further employment at the company. In the course of their studies, students receive scholarships from the enterprise and participate in on-the-job training.

Welding lab project has become an important step in the development of partnership between the leading industrial enterprise of the region and the vocational training system. It helps not only to train high quality specialists but also to boost the image of blue-collar jobs among the youth.
